MPOB Education Foundation Scholarship 2010

Introduction

The MPOB Education Foundation offers two postgraduate research scholarship at any universities recognised by JPA (PSD) in UK, Australia and US for intake 2010/2011.

Eligibility

The candidates must satisfy the following conditions :

• Be a Malaysian citizens
• Have an offer for a place in the UK, US or Australia university for postgraduate degree by full timing research
• Has good command of english , minimum of 580 for TOEFL or IELTS 6.0
• For Masters, the applicants must have Bachelor Degree with a first class or second class honours in the same related discipline
• For PhD, the applicant must have Master’s and Bachelor’s Degree in the same discipline with good honours in both.
• Research undertaken must be related to Oil Palm and its products must be beneficial to MPOB.
• Finish his/her studies in the following maximum timeline : Master’s Degree – 2 years (age not exceeding 30 years old a start)/ PhD – 3 years (age not exceeding 30 years old a start)

Scholarship Value

The award is FULL contribution towards the costs of a single person’s postgraduate study and living costs in the UK, US or Australia.

Bonding

Successful candidates are required to sign a contract to work with MPOB upon completion of the programme.

The completed application form should be attached with the following ”

• Research project proposal
• Certified true copy of academic results (SPM, STPM, Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree and or Master’s Degree) and examination transcript.
• Letter of admission from the UK, US or Australia University
• Other supporting documents

The completed application form must reach MPOB HQ at the following address by 31 May 2010. “Permohonan Biasiswa Yayasan Pendidikan MPOB” should be indicated on the top left hand corner of the envelope :

Only shortlisted candidates will be called for interview in June 2010. Candidates who do not receive any reply within 3 months after the deadline will be considered unsuccessful.
